皆様が寄贈くださった、眠っている「ぬいぐるみ」たちを使って、SDGsの巨大オブジェを制作しました。2020年3月12日13:00に、京都大学時計台前に出現し、若者から世界に、SDGs達成に向けたアクションの大切さを訴えました。
眠りから覚めた「ぬいぐるみ」たちは、SDGsを発信するオブジェの一員となり、様々な場所を巡回予定。その後は、主にリユース販売され、再び新しい個人や家族のもとで使われるように、つないでいきます。
多くの物が、大量生産・大量消費・大量廃棄・大量リサイクルされてきましたが、まだまだ価値のある「もったいない」ものも多々あります。今回のぬいぐるみ回収が、様々なリユース（再使用）行動のきっかけにもなればと考えています。なお、2020年7月に延期した京大プラ博に向けて、改めてぬいぐるみ回収も実施予定ですので、心当たりのある方は、是非ご参加ください。
なお、新型コロナウィルスの影響で、社会の雰囲気が暗くなっていると感じますが、エコ～るど京大メンバーを始めとする関係者は、マイマスクを制作・着用して、元気に頑張っています！週末（3月14-15日）のオンライン試験（https://eco.kyoto-u.ac.jp/?p=6271）への皆様のご参加もお待ちしております。

„ Huhu! Ich wurde nochmal gefragt, die Arbeit der Ecole de Kyodai auch in Deutschland publik zu machen und nach der etwas verseuchten Stimmung der letzten Wochen ein bisschen Optimismus in die Welt zu tragen.
Wir haben den Februar und März über mit der Hilfe von verschiedensten Leuten in ganz Kyoto ぬいぐるみ (also alte Plüschtiere und Spielzeuge) gesammelt, die ansonsten ein staubiges Dasein in vergessenen Kartons hätten fristen müssen. Ursprünglich war die Idee, damit verschiedene Installationen für ein mehrtägiges Symposium zum Thema Sustainable Development Goals und Plastik anzufertigen und überall auf dem Campus der Kyoto University zu verteilen (wie man sich vorstellen kann war ich SEHR heiss auf dieses Projekt).
Naja. Massenveranstaltungen sind in Japan gerade nicht so gerne gesehen und die ganze Veranstaltung wurde abgesagt, weswegen ein bisschen umdisponiert werden mussten.
Aber wir lassen uns natürlich nicht den Wind aus den Segeln nehmen und haben jetzt trotzdem eine Installation gemacht die wir online verbreiten, ha!
Zweck des Einsammelns der ぬいぐるみ war ja darüber hinaus sowieso, sie als Nächstes weiter zu verteilen und ihnen dadurch ein neues Zuhause zu geben, wo sie tatsächlich wertgeschätzt werden. Im Zusammenhang mit den SDGs wollen wir also ein kleines Zeichen setzen und auch einen nachhaltigeren Umgang mit Dingen einfordern, deren Wert über den Materiellen hinaus geht und die Wiederverwertbarkeit der emotionalen Bedeutung der einzelnen Plüschtiere hervorheben. Im Zusammenhang mit Plastik(-müll) wollen wir auf einen Wandel des 3R-Prinzips (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle (hey, das hört sich ja schon mal ganz gut an)) zum 2R-Prinzip (Reduce, Reuse (wow, das wäre ja noch schöner)) zustreben und hoffen, dass in Zukunft immer weniger Plastikprodukte in Müllverarbeitungsanlagen landen müssen.
Abgesehen von dieser sehr wichtigen und tiefgründigen Message war es aber auch einfach befriedigend und lustig, die ganzen Plüschtiere nach Farben anzuordnen und in die entsprechenden Boxen zu packen und ich denke, dafür hat sich das Einsammeln schon gelohnt 🙂
I was asked once again to make the work of Ecole de Kyodai known outside of Kyoto and spread some positivity (despite the slightly infested sentiments of the last weeks) by telling you about our ぬいぐるみ-project.
In February and March, various people in Kyoto collected ぬいぐるみ, plushes and toys, that otherwise would have been left stored away and forgotten. Originally the idea was to create different installations for a big symposium about the Sustainable Development Goals and plastics, that would have been placed all around campus (and you can probably guess how eager I was to do that).
Anyway, then everything changed when Corona attacked. Big gatherings of people are avoided here in Japan, and so the symposium was delayed.
But that did not stop us from sending out our message via other means, ha!
Beyond becoming a cute exhibit to look at, the collection of the ぬいぐるみ had another purpose either way. We want to distribute them to new homes, where they hopefully will experience renewed appreciated. In the context of SDGs, we hope to illustrate a sustainable approach to the non-material value of the plushes and that it is possible to „reuse“ the emotional worth they can carry. In the context of plastic (waste), we want to point to the possibility to transform the 3R principle (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) into the 2R principle (Reduce, Reuse), so that in the future, less and less plastic needs to be managed as waste.
Apart from this important meaning, sorting the ぬいぐるみ into the different colours and putting them into the respective boxes was very enjoyable and in my opinion already worth the effort! “

Have you ever heard of Sustainable Development Goals? Today I want to draw across a message for us good citizen of Solomon Islands. Historically, we are part of a society which associated more on the resources for consumption. Do we even care how much resources we have consumed daily? And the types of resources product we used? Have you ever bought a bottle of mineral water and takeaway package container from a Chinese shop and after enjoying the content, throw them away immediately? STOP and think, we are all part of this Globe who are continuing facing challenges regarding air, water and soil. SDG Goal # 12, “Sustainable Consumption and Production” challenges us to be more responsible in educating ourselves to become an individual sustainable consumption.
On Monday 9th I was taking part in a team called Niu-Guru-mi project in Takeda, where we packed used stuff like dolls/toys donated by people and families who doesn’t need them anymore to regenerate and re-used into something useful, this is one way of do away with products tend to be wastes. A similar way of action is highly recommended. A simple Re-Use practice to do away with most of our material consumption is a best start off. Make one action counts towards sustainable lifestyles, a life cycle from producer to the final consumer.
